Basic and Detailed Engineering CalculationsURSSA carries out the basic engineering, establishing the dimensions of the structural solution adopted in the conceptual definition in compliance with current regulations and in accordance with the specific use.Once the basic engineering has been defined, the different kinds of bolted and welded joints, splicing, fastenings, and other details required in order to fully develop the structural solution are dimensioned and calculated. 3D AND 2DIn order to complete the project engineering, URSSA uses two kinds of CAD systems: 3D spatial modelling and 2D drawing. The spatial structure is modelled with 3D CAM CAD systems, and all the information required for manufacture (erection drawings, exploded views, CNC files for cutting and drilling machines, materials tests, etc.) and for erection on site, is generated automatically. This working system provides undeniable advantages in the form of shorter lead times and higher productivity levels thanks to the generation of detailed drawings. As all the drawings and files for CADCAM processes can be obtained in a single model, quality is greatly improved and this ensures that the drawings are attained are perfectly matched geometrically. This provides for an integrated design-manufacturing system which eliminates intermediate programming steps and reduces considerably the human error factor normally associated with these. |  |
